Otis Redding Day is an official holiday in the state of Georgia and will be celebrated every year on Feb. 15!

Fifty years after his passing, the legacy and music of Otis Redding lives on in film, television, music education programs and scholarships bearing his name. The State of Georgia has acknowledged the KING OF SOUL, Otis Redding, with a series of recognitions culminating in the official sanction of Otis Redding Day at the Capitol this past Thursday.

The Redding Family and Estate worked diligently with the elected officials of the City of Atlanta and State of Georgia to make the first Otis Redding day, a day to remember.
